Hugh played regional and county level U12-U18 in Wales. Cymru Alliance league, which is the 2nd tier of the Welsh pyramid system behind the National League of Wales.
Hugh has coached many club and regional select sides in Wales, my 1992 U12 select side was very successful with 4 young players signing youth professional forms with English professional clubs.
The Mid Wales Soccer Project which I was the regional coordinator produced many young players who went onto play in the professional game. Two such players are Carl Robinson who currently plays for Toronto FC in the MLS and Michael Owen who plays for Newcastle United and England (Michael played a number of tournaments for the MWSDP, including the Dallas Cup).
Hugh is happily Married to Michelle and have a beautiful daughter, Ella, who was born Sept 1st, 2007. Ella attended 2 FRAM games with jugh’s Teams within her first month. It’s Hugh’s second year coaching with the club and he is enjoying the "FRAM CQ" experience.
