for their success during the recent Far West Regional League (FWRL) Spring Season.

The GU16 Premier team were the Spring Season Champions after finishing in 1st place in the first round of compeition. 

The BU16 Premier team finished 2nd in the first round and advanced to the final round of competition. 

We wish these and our other older teams success in the upcoming Cal South National Cup!

Also, good luck to the GU16 Premier team as they travel to Arizona in June to participate in the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships.

Close to 300 college coaches attend this event each year to scout out the best soccer talent.
 
The BU16 Premier team weathered a tough game (1-1 draw) against Prepa Tec FB from Monterrey, Mexico and the tornado that tossed around the tracker trailers and has advanced to the quarter-finals of Dallas Cup!  ESPN is even taking notice of our boys.  Click HERE to see the ESPN article about their game.

Steven “Joey” Hoffman has been coaching elite boys and girls club soccer in Southern California for over 17 years, from the U9 to the U19 age group, at clubs including Real Socal, LA Rampage, San Diego Surf, and JUSA.    Joey holds a USSF National A License and has worked with Richard Boon on the Cal South State and Region IV ODP staff.   Joey is currently the head scout for the boys Cal South ODP program, he has headed up the Young Olympian program and is a US Soccer scout for the girls program.   His club teams have won numerous League and Regional championships, and his ODP teams have won multiple Regional and National Championships.  A former head coach at Rio Mesa High and Buena High School, his teams won both a league Championship and a CIF Championship.  Joey has also won many high profile tournaments and is regarded as one of the most talented youth coaches in America.  Joey will be coaching the GU10 and GU13 teams.  For more information about Joey’s numerous successes, please click HERE to go to his coaches profile page.

In the recent past, FRAM has seen a huge improvement in the success of the club’s teams. The 2010 Coast Soccer League season ended with a winning record and numerous League Championships and team promotions. 
 
The 2011 Season will surpass the 2010 winning record, even with our teams playing in higher level brackets. The 2011 season will end with more wins than the previous season, several League Championships, even at the Premier level. Congratulations to all the FRAM teams and coaches, all the hard work and dedication is paying off
 
Below is a list of the successes many our teams have experienced this season. Other teams in the club continue to compete and develop players for possible movement to the higher level teams within the club.

Fram faced the top two teams in Cal North - Madera Liverpool FC  (5-1) and Vallejo Panteras  (3-1). In the championship game, Fram defeated a talented Laguna Niguel FC, 2-1.  The team started as a Fram B12 Bronze team and has worked it's way to the Premier level this year.

The FRAM BU16 and GU16 teams are now preparing for the Surf College Cup this Thanksgiving weekend.

Students and their parents will receive valuable information regarding choosing the right schools, athletic scholarships, recruiting procedures, graduation requirements, calculating GPA and maintaining good grades.
 
Parents of younger players are welcome to attend to get a head start on what to expect for the future.
 
Presentation will be conducted by Richard Boon and special guest speakers for the event will include Scott Juniper, Head Coach for Women’s Soccer at UC Irvine, possible representatives from UCLA, Pepperdine University and Cal State Dominquez Hills.

2011 West Coast Futbol Classic Champions!

 
The FRAM B16 Premier team, coached by Michael Erush, won the West Coast Classic B16, Flight 1 Division.  In pool play, they beat San Diego Surf, the current #1 team in the nation (based on gotsoccer.com).  They also beat the Exiles in the semi-finals to eventually face a talented West Coast team in the finals.  Fram held a 1-0 lead until the last 5 minutes of the game -until West Coast scored an equalizer.  Fram performed well under pressure and won in penalty kicks.  This Fram team started with the club as a bronze team and will now play in the CSL Premier division this fall. Congratulations boys!
 
 
 
FRAM GU16 Premier continued their success and beat West Coast and So Cal Infinity to win the 2011 West Coast Futbol Classic.  Welcome to the GU16 Premier team that previously played at Arsenal and has several U16 National Team players on the roster. We are thrilled to have you a part of FRAM! 
 
These teams look forward to their upcoming season in the CSL Premier bracket and to showing off their talent to college scouts at the 2011 San Diego Surf College Cup over Thanksgiving weekend.
